In a bizarre case of theft, hair worth ₹70 lakh was stolen from a godown in Lakshmipur Cross, under Soladevanahalli police limits in Bengaluru. The hair was meant for export to China, Burma, and Hong Kong for wig-making but was stolen just two days before shipment.

The godown owner, Venkataraman, has filed a complaint with the police after CCTV footage captured six thieves arriving in a pickup vehicle and stealing 27 bundles of hair. The theft has left the owner and his wife devastated, as they were seen crying on camera, pleading for justice.
According to reports, buyers from China had recently visited the godown to inspect the hair and had given the green light for shipment. The stolen hair had already been packed and weighed for dispatch when the thieves struck.
The Soladevanahalli police have registered an FIR and are actively investigating the case. CCTV footage is being analyzed to track the accused, and a special team has been formed to nab them.
This unusual theft has left the business community on edge, highlighting a rising trend of high-value hair thefts. Police have assured swift action to recover the stolen goods and bring the culprits to justice.
