Vijayapura: Flyover being planned to ease traffic congestion

 Minister for Large & Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development in Government of Karnataka, MB Patil had an interaction with senior officials and Public Work Department (PWD) engineers at his residence. In this meeting, among other matters, it was also discussed that there is a need for the construction of a flyover between Shivaji Circle and the Vijayapura district stadium.

This was deemed essential for addressing traffic congestion and for improving the experience of driving in these areas. The first step towards this would involve drafting a proposal for the same. The officials have been ordered to start work pertaining to this. If the proposal meets the feasibility criteria, preparations for the construction of the flyover would commence.

MB Patil later on posted the updates of the meeting on the social media platform, Twitter as well. Executive engineer of the PWD, RK Majumdar, assistant executive engineer MM Patil and Mahantesh Biradari who is in charge of public relations of MB Patil had attended the meeting.
