In a significant counter-insurgency operation, Indian forces have killed 10 militants near the India-Myanmar border in Chandel district of Manipur last night. The operation took place in the New Samtal village of Kengjoi subdivision, which is a region infamous for insurgent activities.

Detecting the militant presence in the area through intelligence inputs, the security personnel launched a search operation. During the operation, militants opened heavy fire on the troops, promoting a swift and strong retaliation. As a result, 10 militants were gunned down by the forces at the spot.
