In a tragic incident, a 19-year-old youth lost his life while hurrying to catch a screening of the highly anticipated film Pushpa 2: The Rule in Bengaluru. The victim, identified as Praveen Tamachalam, was struck by a speeding train while crossing railway tracks near Baashettihalli in Doddaballapur on Thursday morning.

Praveen, a resident of Baashettihalli and a native of Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, was an ITI diploma holder employed at a private firm in the Baashettihalli industrial area. He lived in a rented apartment with two friends. According to the police, the trio was headed to Vaibhav Theatre in Gandhinagar for a 10 a.m. show when the accident occurred around 9 a.m.

While attempting to cross the railway tracks, Praveen reportedly failed to notice an oncoming train and was fatally struck by the locomotive. His friends, who witnessed the horrifying incident, fled the scene in panic.

Authorities are now searching for Praveen’s companions to gather more details about the circumstances leading to the accident.

The tragic death has shocked the local community, with many highlighting the dangers of crossing railway tracks. This incident serves as a grim reminder of the need for caution and adherence to safety measures near train routes.
