In the brutal terrorist attack that shook Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, three people from Karnataka have tragically lost their lives. Among the deceased are Manjunath from Shivamogga district and Bharat Bhushan, originally from Haveri. According to the reports, the terrorists identified their targets by asking if they were Hindus before opening fire. Bharat Bhushan was reportedly related to Congress leader Prakash Koliwada and had traveled to Jammu and Kashmir just three days ago for vacation.

Eyewitnesses revealed that the terrorists approached under the pretense of having a conversation and then suddenly opened fire. This targeted killing has sparked deep outrage and sorrow across Karnataka.
Another victim, Madhusudhan from Nellore in Andhra Pradesh , had been living in Ramamurthy Nagar in Bengaluru. He too was killed in the same ambush. The overall death toll in the attack stands at 26, marking it as one of the deadliest civilian targeted terror attacks in recent years.
The victims’ families have been left devastated, with state and national leaders expressing their condolences and demanding justice. The loss of these innocent lives, especially those who had gone on a peaceful trip, has intensified calls for a stronger response to terrorism.
