The flight landed in the Indira Gandhi Airport in Delhi from Tel Aviv at 8:30 AM carried 217 Indians of which 8 are Kannadigas. The Cumulative number of Kannadigas across all flights is 30.
This is the fourth flight that was dispatched from Israel to India to relocate Indian citizens to safety in light of the escalating tension in the region. This evacuation has been termed “Operation Vijay.” “The Embassy has been working round the clock to facilitate all our citizens in Israel who wish to leave. We have reached out to students, caregivers, and business people. Some of them are actually working with us as volunteers. We urge everyone to remain calm," Ambassador Sanjeev Singla told news agency PTI.
The embassy also issued a series of guidelines for individuals wishing to avail this service. “While completing this form, each individual must mention any dependents who may also be travelling. Travel slots will be allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis in the upcoming flights of Operation Ajay. In the event of a no-show or refusal to travel after confirmation and slotting, your name will be moved to the back of the queue,” the embassy stated in its announcement.
