The gruesome murder of 33-year-old Renukaswamy, a devoted fan of Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, has captured national headlines. Renukaswamy was allegedly killed for making derogatory comments on social media about Kannada actress Pavithra Gowda, who is Darshan’s close friend and alleged partner.

Today Darshan and his accomplices are cooling their heels at the police station, thanks to the swift and commendable job done by the police. The whole operation sees 13 police officers in action, headed by Police Commissioner B Dayanand and the operation lasted for 36 hours. The investigation has unveiled a chilling conspiracy involving several prominent figures from Darshan’s fan association.

As the role of Darshan came to light in the Renukaswamy murder case, the police officers had planned accordingly. Despite having more than 100 officers at the station, they managed to keep the operation secret. Only 13 officers were involved in the secret action plan as capturing the Challenging star was really challenging as he is a popular actor and was highly influential. The team led by DCP Girish, ACP Chandan, and ACP Bharat Reddy, including Inspectors Girish Naik and Bharat, set out to track down the suspects.

On June 9th, four suspects surrendered to the police in the evening. Suspects Raghavendra and Karthik, among the four, had surrendered. The fact that they surrendered voluntarily raised suspicions among the police. Suspect Raghavendra was fumbling when questioned by the police. Therefore, the police informed the commissioner about the suspects. The commissioner, suspecting their voluntary surrender, had sent DCP Girish to the station. DCP Girish arrived at Kamakshipalya station for interrogation. During this time, actor Darshan’s name came up for the first time. Hearing Darshan’s name, the police intensified their investigation and proceeded to gather evidence.

The police took possession of the mobile phones of all four suspects and examined them directly. Later, they extracted the CDR and checked the call details. Subsequently, they reviewed CCTV footage from the crime scene. As evidence became available, police action began. As technical evidence for Darshan’s arrest became available, they started their hunt. On June 10th, police worked on technical evidence. The next morning on June 11th, police rushed to Mysore. ACP Chandan from Vijayanagar and his team directly entered the gym where actor Darshan was working out. As they entered, they brought Darshan without any delay. At this time, Darshan said he would come in his private vehicle stating it was a matter of respect to come in a private car. Ignoring Darshan’s request, the police brought him in a police jeep.
