The 76th Republic Day celebrations in Bengaluru will feature a grand parade with 38 contingents at Field Marshal Manekshaw Parade Ground on Sunday. Participants include contingents from the Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP), City Armed Reserve (CAR), Indian Army, Border Security Force (BSF), Indian Air Force, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and others. A special highlight will be a group of visually impaired individuals taking part in the parade.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner B. Dayananda reportedly assured that robust security measures are in place for an incident-free celebration. He advised attendees to be seated by 8:30 a.m., as entry will be restricted thereafter.

Deputy Commissioners of Police will oversee security arrangements, while CCTV cameras have been installed at multiple locations for surveillance. Commissioner Dayananda emphasized that certain items, including cigarettes, crackers, water bottles, sharp objects, lighters, and matchboxes, are strictly prohibited at the venue.

To facilitate the event, traffic movement on Cubbon Road, between BRV Junction and Kamraj Road, will be diverted in both directions. Commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly.

The parade is expected to draw significant public participation, reflecting the patriotic spirit of the city while showcasing its diverse forces and community strength.
