The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with grandeur across the state, with the main event taking place at the Manik Shah Parade Ground in Bengaluru. Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot hoisted the national flag and received the ceremonial salute, marking the occasion. The event was attended by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, and other dignitaries.

A vibrant procession involving police personnel, scouts, guides, NCC cadets, and schoolchildren was the highlight of the event. Over 1,500 students participated in cultural programs, captivating the audience with their performances. The annual parade and band display also drew significant attention.

Security was tight at the venue, with Bengaluru Police ensuring a peaceful celebration. A robust team comprising 8 DSPs, 17 ACPs, 44 PIs, and 1,051 other police personnel was deployed. Additional support included 114 PSIs, 58 ASIs, 80 staff members, and 30 camera operators. Enhanced surveillance was ensured with 10 KSRP squads, two fire engines, a rapid action team, and 103 CCTV cameras.

Entry to the event was regulated with color-coded passes, and attendees were issued pink passes for access. These measures, coupled with meticulous planning, ensured the safety and success of the celebrations.

The Republic Day festivities underscored the unity and cultural vibrancy of the state, making the 76th edition memorable for all who attended.
