The Bengaluru police, in collaboration with the BBMP, have deployed a special force to maintain order. Around 800 CCTV cameras will monitor activities across the city, with special teams dedicated to women’s safety. Restrictions include a ban on crackers, loudspeakers, and public misbehavior, with strict action planned against drunk driving and stunts like wheelies.
To manage crowds, vehicular access to MG Road and Church Street will be restricted from 7 PM. Giant screens will be installed in key areas for entertainment, while celebrations are mandated to conclude by 2 AM on January 1.
Top cops say that the force is leaving no stone unturned to ensure peaceful celebrations. Enhanced vigilance and joint measures aim to make NYE safe for everyone while preserving Bengaluru's festive spirit.
