Karnataka: Lokayukta officials conduct raids across 56 locations in 9 districts in relation to 11 cases

    More than 100 officials took part in the raids

    Raids took place during the early hours of 11th July

    BBMP Revenue Official Basavaraj’s house was subject to raid

 Lokayukta officials conducted surprise raids across several locations in Karnataka during the early hours of 11th July. 56 locations across 9 districts were subject to raids in relation to 11 cases. More than 100 officials took part in the raids. 

Mandya: The premises of Retired officer E.E Shivaraj was raided in relation to a disproportionate assets case. Police associated with the Mandya branch of the Lokayukta were involved in the raid. Raids are also underway in Mysuru. 3 locations in the Ijallagatta village in the Nagamangala Taluk and 2 locations in Mysuru were raided. Shivaraj’s farmhouse, father’s house and crusher were raided in Ijallagatta. Lokayukta SP Suresh Babu led the operations. 

Hassan: A raid was also conducted in Hassan. Grade-1 Secretary N.M Jagadish’s residence was raided. One of his houses in Bengaluru was also raided. Jagadish faces charges of disproportionate assets.

Chitradurga: Retired Superintendent Engineer in the PWD Department M.Ravindrappa is the suspect. His house in the Vinayaka Layout and a factory in Aimangala was raided. The Lokayukta officials arrived in 2 cars for the raid. 

Belagavi: GP AEE Mahadeva Bannoora is the suspect. His house in the outskirts of Yalooru which falls in the outskirts of the Belagavi district was raided. He was also a suspect for the Lokayukta in the past. Rs 27 lakh that he had illegally stashed in his house was recovered. The raids were conducted under the leadership of Lokayukta DySP Bharat Reddy. 

Kalaburagi: BBMP Revenue Official Basavaraj Maagi’s house was subject to raid. The house is located in the M.B Nagar region of Kalaburagi. Basavraj is a native of the Paala village in Kalaburagi.
