Actor Darshan is bracing for a crucial day as two major decisions loom in the Renukaswamy case. While an appeal challenging his interim bail is likely to be filed, a decision regarding his back surgery is also expected today.

Darshan, who is suffering from severe back pain, was granted a six-week interim bail by the High Court on medical grounds. He had argued that emergency surgery was necessary to avoid long-term health complications. However, 19 days into the bail period, the surgery has not yet been performed. Currently, Darshan is undergoing physiotherapy at BGS Hospital, Bengaluru, despite earlier court directions that physiotherapy be conducted in jail.

Meanwhile, legal proceedings against the interim bail are gaining momentum. Police officers’ lawyers, led by Senior Advocate Raghupathi, are preparing to file a Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court to challenge the High Court’s decision. Permission for the SLP was granted by the Home Department, and key documents have been submitted by Special Public Prosecutor Prasanna Kumar.

The outcome of these developments will significantly impact Darshan’s immediate future. On one side, the legal battle against his bail intensifies, while on the other, his health continues to deteriorate, increasing the urgency for surgical intervention.

As both medical and legal stakes heighten, today is poised to be a decisive moment for the actor.
