Actor Nagabhushana involved in car accident leaving one dead and one injured

Sandalwood Actor-cum-comedian Nagabushana was arrested by the police for his involvement in an accident that occurred in Konanakunte cross. He was enroute JP Nagar via RR Nagar while his car rammed onto  a couple who were walking on the footpath. A woman named Prema died as a result of this collison. Her husband Krishna is undergoing treatment in the Fortis hospital in Bannerghatta. 

An FIR has been filed against the actor and the enquiry regarding the case is underway. He has currently been released on bail with a notice ordering his presence on Monday. 

He has claimed that the couple came onto the middle of the road out of fear leading to the accident. 

Later on the car rammed into an electric pole on the footpath. Nagabhusan has claimed that he got down from his vehicle and ensured that the couple were shifted away from the middle of the road. He noted  that the woman was more grievously injured. The man has also sustained injuries on his leg, stomach, spine and head. Nagabhushan tried to carry them to a nearby hospital in his car but the engine did not respond positively. They were later shifted to the hospital via an auto. Prema died on the way. Nagabhushan admitted to have been the driver when the accident occurred.
