As the release date of August 15 approaches, advance booking numbers for Shraddha Kapoor’s highly anticipated horror-comedy, Stree 2, have surged, positioning it significantly ahead of its competitors.

The film, which also stars Rajkummar Rao, is set to open alongside Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s action-packed Vedaa.

According to Sacnilk.com, Stree 2 is leading the pack with an impressive advance gross of ₹11.37 crore. The film has already sold 381,878 tickets for its opening day, showcasing its strong appeal among audiences. In stark contrast, Khel Khel Mein has sold only 15,001 tickets, garnering a gross of ₹55.33 lakh. Similarly, Vedaa has recorded ₹56.57 lakh in advance sales with 23,335 tickets sold.

Additionally, other significant releases on Independence Day include Tamil actor Vikram’s Thangalaan, directed by Pa Ranjith, and Puri Jagannadh’s Double iSmart, featuring Ram Pothineni and Sanjay Dutt. The political drama Raghu Thatha, starring Keerthy Suresh, and the action film Mr Bachchan, starring Ravi Teja, are also set to debut on August 15.

As the films vie for attention during the extended weekend, which includes Raksha Bandhan celebrations on August 19, Stree 2 appears poised to dominate the box office with its strong advance bookings.
