AI to dub Suriya’s voice in 8 languages for Kanguva, confirms producer Gnanavel Raja

Producer Gnanavel Raja, in a recent discussion on X Spaces, shared exciting updates about the much-anticipated film Kanguva, starring Suriya, Bobby Deol, and Disha Patani. Directed by Siva, Kanguva is a fantasy action drama that promises to captivate audiences across the globe.

Raja confirmed that Kanguva will release on November 14 in eight languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, English, French, and Spanish. Notably, Suriya’s voice will be dubbed using AI technology for languages other than Tamil, where the star will provide his own voice. This marks a pioneering moment in Kollywood, following a similar move in the recent dubbing of Amitabh Bachchan’s voice in Vettaiyan using AI. Raja expressed hope for success, revealing future plans to release the film in Chinese and Japanese as well.

The producer also disclosed that Kanguva will be screened in around 3,500 locations globally. Although initial discussions included 3D and IMAX formats, there are currently no plans for an IMAX release. Raja also shared that the film's pre-release event could feature notable actors Rajinikanth and Prabhas as chief guests.

Kanguva boasts a stellar cast, including Jagapathi Babu and KS Ravikumar, with music by Devi Sri Prasad and cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy. While much of the storyline remains under wraps, fans eagerly await more details.
