Air India has announced a temporary reduction and suspension of several flights operating from Bengaluru, effective until July 15, 2025. The move, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and minimizing passenger disruptions, affects both international and domestic routes, though it constitutes less than 5% of the airline’s total network.

Among the key international services impacted is the Bengaluru–Singapore route (AI2392/2393), which has been fully suspended during this period. On the domestic front, frequencies have been scaled back on several high-traffic routes. The Bengaluru–Chandigarh service has been reduced from 14 to 7 flights per week. Flights between Delhi and Bengaluru have been trimmed from 116 to 113 weekly, while the Mumbai–Bengaluru corridor sees a reduction from 91 to 84 weekly flights.

Despite these cuts, Air India will maintain close to 600 daily departures using its narrowbody fleet across 120 domestic and short-haul international destinations. The airline has assured that passengers booked on affected flights will be contacted directly and offered alternatives, including rebooking, complimentary rescheduling, or full refunds.

The airline emphasized that the changes are temporary and part of a broader initiative to improve schedule reliability and reduce last-minute cancellations. Passengers are encouraged to check the latest updates via the airline’s website, mobile app, or customer service channels. Full service is expected to resume post-July 15, subject to operational readiness and safety assessments.
