In a significant move, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) has appointed Aishwarya Mahadev as the new Chairperson of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Social Media Department. Aishwarya Mahadev is no stranger to the Congress party’s organisational and grassroots politics. She is the daughter of the late Manchanahalli Mahadev, a respected former MLA known for his close association with top state leaders including past Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers. After her father’s passing nearly 14 years ago, Aishwarya has steadily built her own reputation as a committed party worker and articulate leader.
Hailing from KR Nagar in Mysuru district, Aishwarya has held various key roles within the party. Notably, she has served as a national spokesperson for the AICC, a responsibility that showcased her political acumen and communication skills on national platforms. At a very young age, she also rose to the position of Secretary in the Women’s Wing, demonstrating her ability to handle organisational responsibilities efficiently.
An advocate by education, Aishwarya brings a fresh perspective to the party’s social media strategy at a time when digital outreach is becoming increasingly vital for political engagement. Party insiders believe that her appointment will strengthen the KPCC’s digital presence, counter misinformation effectively, and energise the youth base online.
