A recently unveiled poster revealed Akshay Kumar in a striking depiction of Mahadev. Standing atop a peak, he wields a trident and damru, embodying the tagline, "The Supreme Leader Who Rules Over The Three Worlds Surrenders Himself to Pure Devotion."

Expressing his enthusiasm, Akshay shared, “Stepping into the sacred aura of Mahadev for Kannappa is an honor. May Lord Shiva guide us on this divine journey. Om Namah Shivaya!” This marks another divine portrayal for the actor, who previously played Lord Krishna in the OMG series.

With its grand narrative and ensemble cast, Kannappa promises to be a cinematic spectacle, celebrating devotion and mythology on a grand scale.

Vishnu Manchu's much-anticipated mythological film Kannappa is slated for release on April 25, 2025. The film boasts a stellar cast, with Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar making a special appearance as Lord Shiva and Kajal Aggarwal portraying Parvathi Devi.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the project also features acclaimed actors Prabhas, Mohan Babu, and Mohanlal in pivotal roles.

The film narrates the inspiring tale of Kannappa Nayannar, a devout follower of Lord Shiva whose story is deeply tied to the Srikalahasteeswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh. Known for his unparalleled devotion, Kannappa’s legendary act of offering his eyes to Shiva remains an iconic chapter in Hindu mythology.
