The incident occurred during her recent appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show, where she was promoting her upcoming film Jigra. Fans were quick to notice the actress embracing her married name, sparking excitement on social media.

During the episode, comedian Sunil Grover playfully asked if she was still Alia Bhatt, to which she responded with a smile, "I am Alia Bhatt-Kapoor." This lighthearted exchange quickly went viral, as it marked the first public use of her new name since her wedding in April 2022.

Alia has previously expressed her desire to adopt her husband's surname, saying she didn’t want to feel "left out" while traveling with Ranbir and their daughter, Raha Kapoor. Following her wedding and pregnancy announcement, she had shared her happiness in officially changing her name.
