Alia Bhatt's 'Jigra' screening: A star-studded night in Mumbai

As anticipation builds for the release of Jigra, the much-awaited film starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, the makers hosted a special screening on Wednesday night. The event, held in Mumbai, saw a slew of Bollywood stars in attendance to support the cast.

Alia Bhatt arrived at the screening accompanied by her sister, Shaheen Bhatt. The Gangubai Kathiawadi actress sported a chic black top paired with denim and wore her hair in a sleek bun. Alia's mother-in-law, veteran actress Neetu Kapoor, also attended to show her support.

Vedang Raina, who portrays Alia’s sibling in Jigra, joined the celebration, with Khushi Kapoor—rumoured to be dating the newcomer—matching him in black. The screening was also graced by stars such as Rashmika Mandanna, Radhika Madan, and Abhimanyu Dassani. Karan Johar, co-producer of the film alongside Alia, made a stylish entrance, while Akansha Ranjan, who also features in the film, was present.

On social media, Alia shared the teaser of Jigra, writing, "Ulti ginti shuru! #JIGRA TEASER TRAILER OUT NOW! In cinemas 11th October..."

The film, directed by Vasan Bala, is Alia’s second production venture after her Netflix hit Darlings. Alia praised Vedang Raina’s performance, comparing him to Ranveer Singh, calling him "fabulous" and noting his emotional depth onscreen. Jigra hits theaters this Friday, i.e. tomorrow.
