Prajwal Revanna in SIT custody for 6 days

Prajwal also seeks a ban on media trial

Hassan MP and rape accused Prajwal Revanna was produced at a local court in Bengaluru as SIT sought his custody for 14 days. 

SPP Ashok, while seeking his custody, likened him to a ‘psychopath’ and informed the court that he had filmed sexual acts and assaulted his housemaids.

On the other hand, Prajwal’s lawyer Arun argued that rape charges were not pressed as and when an FIR was filed against him. He also impressed upon the court that the statements extracted for women were made out of duress. He also requested the court that Prajwal be sent to SIT custody for a single day. 

After hearing the arguments and counterarguments, the court remanded Prajwal Revanna in SIT’s custody for 6days. 

Prajwal Revanna flies back from Munich 

It was early this morning around 1 that Prajwal returned to India on a Lufthansa airline from Munich, after staying there for well over a month. He was immediately arrested by SIT and produced at a hospital for his medical examination. 

A few days ago, he had released a video informing that he would arrive on May 31. Though an anticipatory bail plea was filed, the court refused to hear it that instant.
