Telugu actor Allu Arjun appeared at Hyderabad’s Chikkadpally police station for questioning in connection with a stampede that claimed the life of a 35-year-old woman. The tragic incident occurred during the premiere of his film, Pushpa 2: The Rise, at Sandhya Theatre earlier this month.

Accompanied by his father, Allu Aravind, and lawyer Ashok Reddy, Arjun was questioned by authorities under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ramesh and Circle Inspector Raju.
The inquiry focused on whether the theatre management had granted Arjun prior permission for his visit and whether his public relations team had sought police clearance. Investigators are also probing the number of bouncers arranged for the event and whether Arjun’s team briefed him about the situation at the venue.
The actor’s questioning comes after heightened tensions outside his residence, where protesters vandalized his property, prompting police to barricade the area. The disturbance was linked to the ongoing investigation.
Arjun had been issued a notice to appear at 11 a.m. on Tuesday as part of the probe into the December 4 stampede. The actor, known for his massive fan following, has assured full cooperation with the investigation.
Police continue to analyze the circumstances that led to the tragic incident, ensuring accountability for lapses in crowd management at the high-profile premiere.
