Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, Amaran hit theaters on October 31 and has quickly risen to become one of the biggest Tamil releases of the year. With its impressive performance so far, the film is expected to rank among the top 10 highest-grossing Tamil films of 2024.
Despite competition from high-profile Bollywood releases, including Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Amaran continues to dominate in southern states. In Tamil Nadu, it has even seen an increase in theater occupancy, reaching 84.4 percent on Day 3 compared to 81.7 percent the previous day.
Produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India, Amaran is adapted from India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes, a book by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. With its blend of action, drama, and patriotism, the film’s unstoppable momentum shows no signs of slowing down.
