Rosenberg’s journey began when he left the U.S. 12 years ago, traveling through multiple countries before settling in India in 2016. He primarily serves U.S.-based clients while benefiting from India’s lower cost of living. His monthly expenses highlight the financial advantages of living in Goa:

  • Rent: $630 (approx. ₹54,400) for a fully furnished two-bedroom apartment with a river view, shared pool, and gym.
  • Groceries: $250 (approx. ₹21,600).
  • Domestic Help: $80 (approx. ₹6,900) for assistance six days a week with cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
  • Personal Training: $10 (approx. ₹860) per session.

Rosenberg acknowledges some challenges but appreciates the financial freedom and work-life balance Goa offers. He still holds U.S. citizenship and visits annually but has embraced India as his home.

Goa has been attracting expatriates and investors due to its affordable luxury real estate, improving infrastructure, and lifestyle appeal. With increasing connectivity, including the new Mopa International Airport, the state is becoming a hotspot for global professionals looking for a cost-effective yet fulfilling lifestyle.
