Global pop divas Katy Perry and Shakira headlined the pre-wedding celebrations of Reliance Industries scion Anant Ambani and his fiancée Radhika Merchant, with reports highlighting the staggering sums they are charging for their performances.

Katy Perry, renowned for her hits 'Roar' and 'I Kissed A Girl,' was reportedly paid millions to perform at the lavish event in Cannes. Reports state Perry headlined a five-hour party aboard a space-themed cruise. In addition to Perry, Colombian superstar Shakira also graced the stage at the pre-wedding festivities. Known for her chart-topping 'Hips Don’t Lie,' Shakira charged between Rs 10 to Rs 15 crore for her performance, according to Hola.

This marks the second pre-wedding celebration for the Ambanis. The first, held in January in Jamnagar, Gujarat, featured a performance by Rihanna, who was paid $9 million. The current celebration is part of a cruise journey through Italy and France, with guests enjoying themed parties and a diverse culinary menu.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are set to tie the knot on July 12.
