The Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam instituted a new trust board on September 5th. The board took a strong resolve for the promotion of Sanatana Dharma and preserving the culture and traditions of India.
In line with this, the trust has promised VIP darshan to devotees under the age of 25, who succeed in writing “Govind Koti”, that is the process of writing the name of Govinda 1 crore and 116 times. They would be entitled to the VIP darshan along with their family.
The board has also taken other initiatives along the same line. “Pusthaka Prasadam” would be distributed among students ranging from LKG to PG. 1 crore such books would be made available to students.
2 new pilgrimage complexes named Achyutham and Sripatham would be created at the cost of Rs 300 crore behind the Tirupati railway station.
The trust also issued a statement pertaining to the controversial remarks made by Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development of Tamil Nadu, Udayanidhi Stalin pertaining to Sanathana Dharma. Udayanidhi had compared Sanathana Dharma to Dengue and Malaria.
“Such irresponsible statements against Sanatana Dharma will lead to unrest in the society,” said Mr. Karunakar Reddy, the Chairman of the board.
