Following the Karnataka government’s decision to halt the land acquisition of 1,777 acres in Channarayapatna, Devanahalli, Andhra Pradesh has seized the opportunity to woo aerospace entrepreneurs.

State Human Resource Development Minister Nara Lokesh, son of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, made a direct pitch on social media platform X, urging businesses to consider Andhra Pradesh as their new base. “I was saddened to hear about the acquisition process in Devanahalli. I have a good idea for you. Why don’t you look for land in Andhra Pradesh?” Lokesh wrote. “Incentive money and more than 8,000 acres of land are ready for you. I want to meet you soon and discuss,” he added.

The move signals a strategic push from Andhra Pradesh to position itself as a hub for aerospace and defence industries, especially as infrastructure projects face setbacks in neighbouring states.
Sources say Andhra Pradesh is preparing to host investor meetings in the coming weeks to facilitate land allocation and incentives for interested companies. Lokesh’s outreach has been welcomed as a proactive attempt to capitalise on investor uncertainty and to redirect industrial focus to the state’s emerging aerospace corridor.
The land being offered is expected to be part of Andhra’s industrial zones, with infrastructure and policy support already in place for quick project execution.
