Andhra Pradesh is set to position India at the forefront of global quantum technology with the launch of the country’s first Quantum Valley, scheduled for inauguration on January 1, 2026. The initiative was unveiled by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during a high-profile MoU signing ceremony with global technology leaders IBM, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) at his residence in Undavalli.

The Quantum Valley Tech Park in Amaravati will be anchored by IBM’s 156-qubit Quantum System Two—the most advanced quantum computing system to be installed in India. The project aims to replicate a Silicon Valley-style ecosystem by integrating academic institutions, startups, and global expertise to foster innovation and research.
The state government plans to establish two committees focused on infrastructure and ecosystem development to ensure fast-track execution. L&T will begin construction of the core quantum facility and related infrastructure, supporting a simultaneous development approach.
TCS will collaborate under the P4 initiative to provide data-driven governance solutions, while IBM will focus on quantum algorithm development.
As part of a broader vision, Andhra Pradesh will develop India’s first quantum governance framework, enabling applications like GST optimization and real-time census analytics. With the Quantum Valley Tech Park, the state is set to become a pivotal hub for high-tech employment, talent development, and global investment in quantum technologies.
