With reports confirming the presence of animal fat in Tirupati prasadam, devotees who consumed them are in a state of shock and indignation. Pious that they are, they feel it is a sacrilege and defilement of their beliefs.

However, is there really a cause for concern? Spiritual thinker KN Somayaji begs to differ. He says that the devotees did not have the intention to consume the adulterated prasadam. That being the case, he added that there should be no guilt in them.
