Any Congress legislator speaking in favour of Darshan is merely expressing his personal opinion: Zameer Ahmed

17 suspects including the Sandalwood actor Darshan referred to as the Challenging Star and actress Pavithra Gowda are behind bars over alleged involvement in the murder of Renukaswamy. Many influential people including actress Ramya, actor Kichcha Sudeep, actor Upendra, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Home Minister G. Parameshwara have given statements regarding the case. 

The Minister of the Housing Department of Karnataka Zameer Ahmed who is believed to be close to Darshan has now given a shocking statement. “Who would support someone who has indulged in wrongdoing? What is wrong will always remain wrong. People have to face the consequences of their actions,” he said.

Zameer also refuted allegations that there was pressure applied to secure Darshan’s release. “Darshan is my friend. But irrespective of what anyone says, the investigation will take place. Any Congress legislator who is speaking in favour of Darshan is merely expressing his personal opinion,” Zameer added. 

A few days back Zameer shared a reel on the social media platform Instagram. He fed his pet cat in the reel. He added a song from one of Darshan's movies as the background music for this reel. The song dealt with themes of friendship. This video had become rather viral.
