Actress Raashi Khanna addressed the media during the launch of the trailer of Aranmanai-4 directed by Sundar C. She was asked about the pay gap that exists in the film industry between male and female artists. “Art and cinema should be beyond gender. It's high time we treat it like that. Films like 'Article 370' or 'Crew' and our film have only proven that women are as far ahead as men are. Even this conversation shouldn't exist in times where everybody should be treated equally. The art is judged by the way it is made, not by who is in it. We should also get better paychecks in films honestly because there is a huge gap. I hope that happens in time,” Raashi said.

Rashi Khanna also reflected on the achievements of women in the field of cinema in recent times. One of the achievements includes the Payal Kapadia directorial ‘All we imagine as light’ winning the Grand Prix at the Cannes film festival. “Seeing those women is an amazing feeling. I am very proud of the achievements of women. I think it is a proud moment for us to bring this film to you and this is what we are taking to the audience. I hope the number goes even higher that really validates our existence in the industry,” Rashi mentioned.
