Sound and smoke can make the lives of pets hellish

Animals suffer unbearable pain during the festival

    Homestays come as a godsend!

During Deepavali, animals live in a state of horror. As their sense of smell and hearing is much more powerful than we humans have, they can go through hell. But homestays on the outskirts of Bengaluru have come as a godsend.

Pet owners can happily leave their pets at these homestays. Caretakers will ensure pets have a peaceful life, far from the maddening rush of crackers in urban parts.

Speaking to NewsFirst Prime, Lakshan K, owner, Lakshan’s Pet Resort, says, “These days, due to Deepavali, and the consequent sound and smoke pollution, dogs can suffer heart attacks. Even after the completion of Deepavali, these dogs still stay in a state of fear.”

These homestays have received massive bookings, with pet owners deciding to rest their dogs and even cats during Deepavali.

Apart from offering a conducive atmosphere for the animals during the festival, these homestays also offer their services at affordable prices. For instance, for a day, they charge anywhere between Rs 750 and Rs 1000. And once you pay them the amount, you can rest assured about the comfort of your loved ones.

The pet owner adds, “During Deepavali time, you can leave your dogs here. We offer a pickup and drop facility as well. The place is very tranquil here. So this is one option you have.”

Deepavali is a festival of lights. Let’s not darken the lives of these pets as we see independence from darkness.
