The soul of a king lies in the EVMs, CBI, IT and ED: Rahul

I never met Sonia Gandhi: Ashok Chavan

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra (BJNY) of the Indian National Congress (INC) Rahul Gandhi Came to an end via a rally held in Mumbai which was attended by many leaders associated with the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA). In a speech after the rally, Rahul Gandhi seemingly made a reference to the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ashok Chavan. “I don’t want to name names, but a senior leader from this state left the Congress. Weeping, he told my mother, ‘Sonia-ji, I’m ashamed to say, I do not have the power to fight this people, this force. I do not want to go to jail. We are fighting with a “power”. Now the question is, what is that power? The soul of a king lies in the Electoral Voting Machines (EVMS), Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Income Tax (IT) Department,” Rahul Gandhi stated.

Ashok Chavan has however refuted this version of the story of his resignation. “If he is saying that about me, then it is illogical and baseless. The truth is that till I resigned from the Congress, I was working at the party headquarters. I resigned from the post of MLA and a few moments later resigned from the party also. Until then, no one knew that I had resigned. I never met Sonia Gandhi. It is baseless to say that I met Sonia Gandhi and expressed my emotions. It is a political statement from the election point of view,” Ashok said.
