Speaking at the post-match presentation, Bumrah expressed disappointment over the series defeat. "Losing the series is hard to take, but I don’t want to blame anyone. Unfortunately, I had to sit out due to injury in the second innings of the final match. I did wonder if my presence could have made a difference, but that's hindsight," he said.
Bumrah acknowledged the efforts of his teammates, emphasizing that cricket often hinges on handling pressure and adapting to the situation. "We fought hard throughout the series, but some moments didn’t go our way. This series was a learning experience, especially for the younger players. While they are disappointed, the exposure will help them grow and contribute in the future," he added.
The final match underscored the importance of experience in high-stakes games, with Australia capitalizing on India’s missed opportunities. Bumrah’s absence in the critical second innings was keenly felt, with many speculating it could have turned the tide in India’s favour.
Despite the loss, the series highlighted India’s emerging talent, offering hope for stronger performances in upcoming tours.
