Auto driver's honesty shines in Gurugram as lost bag with valuables returned

In a heartwarming incident in Gurugram, an auto-rickshaw driver’s integrity and kindness were on full display when he went out of his way to return a lost bag containing valuable possessions. Arnav Deshmukh, a product manager, shared the touching story on LinkedIn, praising the exceptional actions of Manirul Jaman, the auto driver.

The incident began when Deshmukh's friend, who was relocating, accidentally left her bag in the auto after paying the fare via UPI around 1 PM. The bag contained important documents such as her Aadhaar card, PAN card, and credit/debit cards, as well as a priceless gold chain with a diamond pendant, a cherished family heirloom gifted by her late grandmother and mother.

Realizing the loss, panic set in as they attempted to contact the driver via UPI messenger, but their efforts were unsuccessful. They turned to the Gurugram police for help, who swiftly initiated an attempt to trace the auto.

At around 5 PM, their worries came to an end when the property manager informed them that Manirul Jaman had returned with the bag. To their amazement, all the contents, including the precious gold chain, were intact.

The driver’s act of honesty and kindness left Deshmukh and her friend overjoyed, showing that integrity still shines through in unexpected places.
