Eighteen members of the B-PAC (Bangalore Political Action Committee), who had traveled to Israel on an educational tour, are currently stranded in Tel Aviv due to the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel. The group, which included students and civic representatives, was scheduled to return to Bengaluru on Friday. However, with air traffic suspended following the sudden intensification of hostilities, their plans have been upended.

According to sources, a bomb blast occurred merely one kilometer away from their accommodation in Tel Aviv, sending shockwaves through the group and raising serious concerns about their safety. Although the members are currently reported to be safe, the situation has caused significant distress among them and their families back home.
The trip, initially intended to offer insights into governance and innovation in Israel, has now turned into a tense waiting game. With several international flights grounded and airports functioning under strict security protocols, the group’s return timeline remains uncertain.
The Government of Karnataka is reportedly in touch with the Indian Embassy in Israel, seeking urgent assistance for the group's safe return. Families of the stranded individuals have appealed to both state and central governments for immediate intervention.
Officials have assured that all possible diplomatic and logistical efforts are underway to ensure the group’s safety and early evacuation, depending on the security clearance for air travel.
