In a significant move in Mumbai's real estate scene, Bollywood icons Amitabh Bachchan and his son, Abhishek Bachchan, have acquired multiple properties valued at Rs 24.95 crore in Mulund West, a prominent suburban area. This latest acquisition marks the Bachchan family's total real estate investments in 2024 at nearly Rs 100 crore, bolstering their reputation as major investors in Mumbai’s property market.

According to registration records from Square Yards, a real estate platform, the Bachchans have purchased 10 apartments in Oberoi Realty’s premium project, Eternia. The ready-to-move-in 3 BHK and 4 BHK apartments cover a combined carpet area of 10,216 square feet. Eight units span 1,049 square feet each, while the remaining two measure 912 square feet per unit, all offering two dedicated parking spaces. Stamp duty on the transaction amounted to Rs 1.5 crore.

Abhishek Bachchan acquired six apartments for Rs 14.77 crore, with Amitabh purchasing four for Rs 10.18 crore. Notably, the Bachchan family has been increasingly active in Mumbai’s property market, with investments since 2020 totaling around 0.19 million square feet, valued at Rs 219 crore.

While Bollywood traditionally gravitates toward western suburbs like Juhu and Bandra, Mulund's central location and accessibility have made it a rising choice. This acquisition follows Abhishek's recent investments in Borivali's Oberoi Sky City, where he bought six units for over Rs 15 crore, with Amitabh also purchasing two apartments there.
