This achievement marks a career-high opening for Vicky Kaushal, surpassing his previous best opener, Uri: The Surgical Strike, which had an opening day collection of Rs 8.20 crore.

Produced by Karan Johar and directed by Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz is also performing well on the national front with an India gross collection of Rs 35.64 crore.

A significant factor contributing to the film's popularity is Vicky Kaushal's dance number "Tauba Tauba," which has become a sensation among fans. Choreographed by Bosco and Martis, the song's dance steps have inspired many to try and replicate them, adding to the film's buzz.

As Bad Newz continues to draw audiences to theaters, its strong opening weekend suggests a good run ahead.
