In a historic and bold move, Baloch leaders and people have officially declared independence from Pakistan, announcing the formation of the Republic of Balochistan. Citing decades of systemic oppression, violence, and exploitation by the Pakistani state and military, Baloch activists unveiled a separate national flag and map, asserting their identity as a sovereign nation.

The declaration calls on India and the United Nations to recognize Balochistan as an independent country. Baloch leaders have appealed to New Delhi to allow the establishment of an official embassy in India, stating their desire for formal diplomatic ties. They emphasized their unwavering support for India, especially during Operation Sindoor, a recent military operation against Pakistan.
Prominent Baloch activist Mir Yar Baloch publicly expressed solidarity with India, saying, “Narendra Modi, you are not alone — 60 million people of Balochistan stand with you.” He also voiced strong support for India’s demand that Pakistan vacate Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Balochistan has long been a region of conflict, with Baloch nationalists accusing the Pakistani government of resource exploitation, human rights violations, and military aggression. With this declaration of independence, the Baloch movement has taken a significant leap, shifting from resistance to a formal demand for statehood on the global stage.
The Baloch leadership now seeks international support to legitimize their claim and secure their people’s future as a free nation.
