In anticipation of the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has begun extensive preparations at the central office through a pre-event planning meeting. Officials discussed the blueprint for organizing the state-level celebrations scheduled to be held at the Field Marshal Manekshaw Parade Ground in Bengaluru.

The meeting focused on ensuring smooth arrangements for seating, security, parking, and logistics. Entry protocols through designated gates were discussed, along with traffic diversions and parking plans. The BBMP's health department will deploy ambulances for first aid, and arrangements for toilets at the venue will be made.
Security will be enhanced with CCTV surveillance, police presence, and entry-point scanning. Organizers also stressed the need to prepare for rain-related challenges and ensure the ground remains functional in case of bad weather. Selected teams will perform patriotic songs, and children participating in cultural events will be provided with food and drinking water during rehearsals.
Prominent officials such as Bengaluru Urban Deputy Commissioner Jagdeesh, Special Commissioners Suralakar Vikas Kishore and Naveen Kumar Raju, Zonal Commissioners Digvijay Bodke, Ramya, Deputy Commissioners, and Joint Commissioners attended the meeting. Representatives from BBMP, police, BESCOM, PWD, BWSSB, and the Kannada and Culture Department also took part.
