Public reactions to the clean-up effort have been mixed. While many have lauded the BBMP and sanitation workers for their swift and efficient work, suggestions for improvement have surfaced. Some residents proposed stricter enforcement measures, such as imposing fines for littering to discourage future incidents. Calls to introduce a dedicated team to monitor and penalize offenders were widely supported, with the argument that such measures have proven effective in other areas, like traffic management.
Others expressed concerns about uneven municipal attention, questioning why the clean-up focus remains largely on the CBD while other parts of the city are overlooked. This disparity has reignited discussions about the need for equitable civic management across Bengaluru.
