Bengaluru residents can now obtain their final e-Khata within two days of submitting an online application, as the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has streamlined the process to enhance efficiency. With nearly 2.7 lakh of the 2.9 lakh applications already processed, the new system aims to eliminate delays and ensure hassle-free service delivery.

Applicants must submit their requests on the BBMP’s e-Aasthi portal, bbmpeaasthi.karnataka.gov.in, eliminating the need for in-person visits to revenue offices. Assistant revenue officers (AROs) and caseworkers are responsible for reviewing and approving applications within the stipulated timeframe. The new digital-first approach ensures that pending applications are resolved swiftly, often within a day. The volume of processed applications now surpasses the number of new submissions, reflecting the efficiency of the revamped system.
To maintain this momentum, BBMP conducts daily virtual meetings with officials from all eight zones and 64 ARO offices. These sessions help monitor progress, address bottlenecks, and provide necessary directives to ensure seamless processing. The civic body has also equipped all ARO offices with the required infrastructure to meet demand effectively.
This initiative is part of BBMP’s broader efforts to enhance transparency and simplify property-related transactions for Bengaluru residents. By reducing bureaucratic delays, the civic body aims to provide a smoother and more citizen-friendly experience in property documentation.
