Bengaluru’s Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Climate Action Cell (CAC) has introduced an internship programme for postgraduates and young professionals keen on contributing to climate action initiatives in the city. The programme will engage 10 interns in ward-level projects for a duration of two to six months.

Interns will receive a stipend of ₹20,000 per month and must be proficient in both English and Kannada. Their responsibilities will include data collection and research on climate change, community engagement through awareness campaigns, and communication tasks such as content development and advocacy. Additionally, they will assist in administrative duties supporting CAC’s ongoing projects.

Eligible candidates must be pursuing or have completed post-graduation in fields such as urban planning, public policy, or environmental engineering. While prior experience is not compulsory, preference will be given to those familiar with research, community engagement, and technical tools like Quantum Geographic Information System (QGIS) and statistical analysis software.
