35 doctors gathered at BBMP head office to celebrate the moment
BBMP's healthcare facilities have an annual footfall of about 20 lakhs
BBMP has achieved a significant milestone with 35 of its health centers and six referral hospitals receiving certification under the National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS). This achievement was celebrated by doctors on October 6, as they eagerly await the launch of ‘Brand Bengaluru.’
Sources report that a total of 41 facilities have successfully met the rigorous NQAS standards, leading to remarkable improvements in patient satisfaction, reduced mortality rates, and lower infection rates. These units are on their way to obtaining NQAS certification.
BBMP doctors from various hospitals came together at the BBMP head office and Town Hall to promote ‘Brand Bengaluru’ and rejoice in the recognition bestowed upon BBMP’s healthcare facilities. The celebration featured a poem written by Anjana Raman, a Bengalurean, and a special song performed by Rakshana Sridhar, another talented resident of Bengaluru.
In addition to NQAS certification, BBMP’s six referral hospitals have also achieved national recognition for quality care in labor rooms and operation theaters through the LaQshya program.
Over the next few months, all BBMP hospitals will undergo NQAS assessments, aiming to earn the status of quality care BBMP hospitals. Similarly, health centers that have already obtained state certification for quality medical care will soon receive national certification.
To commemorate this achievement, approximately 35 doctors gathered at the BBMP head office, reflecting on their dedicated efforts behind this success.
It is worth noting that BBMP’s healthcare facilities witness an annual footfall of about 20 lakhs, with approximately 16,000 deliveries taking place in its maternity hospitals.
