The Indian Cricket Team arrived at the Delhi Airport after a successful campaign ensured that they claimed the 2024 ICC T-20 World Cup. The team which was led by captain Rohit Sharma received a grand reception at their arrival. Earlier, a chartered flight was arranged to ensure the team’s safe return as Hurricane 'Beryl’ which loomed over Barbados caused a delay in the travelling schedule of the team.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video of the team after their arrival on the microblogging site X (formerly unknown as Twitter). This video consists of visuals of the team celebrating their achievement by holding the coveted trophy. The players appeared to be in ecstasy over their triumph. “It’s home,” a caption of the post made by BCCI remarked.

The team had to extend their stay in Barbados by 3 days due to Hurricane ‘Beryl’. The team arrived at the airport at 6 AM Indian Standard Time (IST) on July 4th in Delhi. The team is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi shortly. A victory rally is also reported to have been planned in Mumbai wherein fans can get glimpses of their heroes.
