BEML Limited has strengthened its aerospace ambitions by inaugurating a modern warehousing facility within the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) Aerospace Special Economic Zone (SEZ) near Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. Spanning 0.12 acres, the facility is poised to enhance BEML’s logistical capabilities and serve a broader range of aerospace stakeholders.

At the same event, the foundation stone was laid for Phase II of the project, which will add another 1.15 acres to BEML’s operational footprint within the SEZ. This expansion is part of a broader vision to transform the company’s 25-acre land bank in the area into a dynamic industrial base supporting India's defence and aviation sectors.
The newly launched facility is part of BEML’s strategic plan to build an integrated ecosystem for advanced manufacturing, Maintenance-Repair-Overhaul (MRO) services, and aerospace exports.
Future developments include a dedicated 20-acre manufacturing unit focused on aerostructures, drones, and defence components, envisioned through global collaborations. The facility’s strategic location—close to NH7, the Outer Ring Road, and the airport—positions it as a key logistics hub.
This initiative is expected to generate over 500 jobs and catalyze innovation through a proposed Centre of Excellence for Aerospace Technologies.
