Bengaluru: DJ Halli witnesses a spate in incidents of hooliganism

The police are trying several methods to curb hooliganism in Bengaluru. But how much success has it yielded? Have the activities of rowdy-sheeters come down? These are the questions the residents of Bengaluru have. 

On the night of 21st November at around 9 PM, rowdies entered a hotel in bikes and scooters yielding cleavers and knives in their hand. They carried out a robbery. The very next day, another similar incident was witnessed in a bar in DJ Halli at 12 AM in the morning. The gang created havoc inside the bar. They got hold of cash inside the bar as well. 

The gang also targeted a gathering of people having their food. They extorted them of cash before fleeing the spot. 

The individual behind the attack has been identified as Godke Imran. He has cases registered against him from as long as 10 years back. These include cases pertaining to murder, attempt to murder, criminal intimidation and robbery. His name has also been included in the consumption and trade of drugs. He was acquitted from a robbery case very recently. He has become emboldened to carry out criminal activities in his area yet again.

A case has been registered in the DJ Halli police station with regard to the incidents on November 21st and November 22nd. The police are on the lookout for Godke Imran and his gang.
