Sunday, November 26 marks the end of the two-day Kambala event held in Bengaluru. Lakhs of people took part in the event, making it a grand success!
The most prized moment of the event was how the two bullocks, which participated in the Kantara movie, ran enthusiastically, thereby raising waves up to six feet! Not surprisingly, they won the gold for their performance!

Even as the bullocks ran and gave their best, on the other side, there was no dearth of festivities as folk dances like tiger dance were organised, to keep the audience fully engaged. Also, such performances exposed Bengalureans to the lifestyle of coastal Karnataka.
Not just that, an exhibition rich in showcasing Karnataka’s handicrafts was also held on the same premises. People were literally awed by it!
In fact, the event was a repository of everything you could ask for! There was glitz and glamour too, with actor Pooja Hege in attendance!
Actor Upendra was also in attendance. As usual, with his witty dialogues, he captivated the audience.
He said, “I have never seen such an atmosphere and excitement anywhere in my life.”
Prakash Shetty, honorary president of the committee which organised the event expressed satisfaction over the success.
He said, “People of all places have come here. We have organised this event in the heart of the city. With 2 lakh people attending it, it is indeed a grand success.”
Well, it is needless to say that the event showcased the culture and lifestyle of rustic India. It was a great event in which people got a chance to go beyond the mundane city life and enjoy village life. Hope it returns next year!
