The Bengaluru Police have left no stone unturned to provide massive security in the city, with many people thronging to places like MG Road to welcome the new year.
They have zeroed in on hotspots which will see a huge congregation of people. These hotspots are also very vulnerable when it comes to women safety.
The department has posted as many as 10,000 police constables.
Here’s a look at the areas which will be guarded with eagle’s eyes!

- Brigade Road
- Church Street
- Indiranagar
- Koramangala
Here’s a look at the additional police force put into action:
- Additional Commissioners of Police: 2
- Joint Commissioner: 1
- DCPs: 15
- ACPs: 45
- Inspectors: 160
- Sub-inspectors: 600
- ASIs: 600
- Head Constables: 1800
- Constables: 5200
Apart from them, as many as 400 additional CCTVs, women safety island, police kiosk in case of children going missing, drones in places where celebrations take place will be in operation.
