Narayan Seva Samstha, based in Rajasthan, took a significant step in empowering the disabled community by distributing 270 free modular artificial limbs. This commendable initiative, spanning four decades, unfolded at the Maratha Hostel Grounds on Bull Temple Road on October 1.

Vinod Jain, President of Narayan Seva Samstha Bengaluru Unit, expressed the organization’s commitment to expand its activities in Bengaluru, as reported by Bangalore Mirror. They plan to organize a mass marriage event for individuals with disabilities in February, aiming to support 50 to 100 couples. The organization has already hosted sports events and fashion shows for people with disabilities, promoting inclusivity regardless of religion or caste.

The modular artificial limbs provided were made of German technology, known for their lightweight and superior quality. Narayan Seva Samstha has distributed over 39,000 free artificial limbs to date, enabling skill training for recipients to rebuild their lives.

The camp catered to physically challenged individuals aged 10 to 70, offering them artificial limbs and essential training to walk with these prosthetics. The presence of mirrors for practice and expert guidance created a sense of rebirth and happiness among the recipients, fostering hope and independence.
